Poland's government adopts EU presidency goals
The government has adopted a plan of work for Poland’s six-month EU presidency, with goals focusing on “European integration as a source of growth and a secure and open Europe”.

Poland takes over the presidency of the Council of the European Union – commonly known as the EU presidency – from Hungary on 1 July. This presents the country with its first leadership role within the Union that it joined seven years ago. At a press conference Tuesday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the country’s priorities to be pursued during this six months at the helm of the EU.
