The Euranet radio network, of which Polish Radio is a member, is charged with the project, which will see ambassadors, experts, politicians and students sit down for discussions concerning the upcoming presidency.

The debate will focus on Europe’s younger citizens, and concentrates on the experiences of the Hungarian EU Council presidency, while looking forward to the Danish presidency after Poland’s time is up at the end of 2011.

Most of the debate’s issues will surround the preparations for the EU Council presidency and Poland’s so-called priorities for its six-month leadership of the bloc’s affairs.

One panel, however, will concentrate on the Erasmus programme, which allows freedom of mobility for students throughout Europe. Issues to be taken up during the debate also include student mobility from citizens of Eastern Partnership countries.

The debates get under way on Tuesday at 14.00 CET at the main campus of Warsaw University. (jb)
