                    Police in Warsaw have taken a 19-year-old man into custody after they caught him red-handed firing shots at passing trams with an air rifle.

Authorities were called in after the teenager shot at the tram in Warsaw’s Wola district, shattering windows and injuring an 11-year-old girl.
After an ambulance arrived at the scene, the man then started shooting at another tram. Police caught the 19-year-old after managing to locate where the shots were coming from.
The teenager, named as Michal J. (surname withheld in accordance with Polish privacy laws), was taken into custody, while his firearm was taken for forensic tests.
The man is likely to hear charges of property damage and causing possible loss of life and serious damage to health. (jb)
