Half-price weekend tempts tourists in Poland

A range of restaurants, museums, theatres, hotels and sports clubs are offering half-price services in a campaign aiming to boost off-peak tourism in Poland.

Almost 900 companies and institutions are taking part in the initiative, which runs until Sunday.

The project, the sixth of its kind, is called "Poland See More - Weekend for Half Price."

The campaign is backed by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Polish Tourism Organisation.

Last autumn, 757 businesses signed up for the initiative, with 165,000 visitors taking advantage of a cut-price weekend.
