The biggest increase in registrations, at 32 percent year on year, was recorded for hybrid-engined cars, according to the report by the Polish Automotive Industry Association and consulting company KPMG.

“Let’s hope this trend continues in the future,” Jakub Faryś, head of the Polish Automotive Industry Association, said.

Seventy-two percent of all new cars registered in Poland last year were company cars, the report also found.

Meanwhile, the overall number of cars produced in Poland in 2018 decreased by 12.3 percent from 2017, to 451,000, according to the study.
