The country’s Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) has detained two employees of the KGHM group and two owners of a company in southern Poland, state news agency PAP reported.
The two employees are suspected of taking bribes from the businessmen in return for giving them preferential treatment in contracts for mining equipment, according to investigators.
KGHM said it would cooperate with the investigation, adding that the probe was being carried out into practices between 2012 and 2016.
