In the latter half of 2017 and the first part of this year – the flu season – nearly 5 million people fell ill with influenza and similar viruses in Poland.
Only some 3 percent of the population in Poland decide to have vaccinations against influenza every year, according to public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
Experts say that flu jabs are the most effective way of avoiding influenza.
Doctors warn that flu can cause a range of serious complications.
