Each of the devices is equipped with caterpillar tracks, a camera and a customizable arm.
They were designed and produced by Poland’s Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements.
Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak was quoted by public broadcaster Polish Radio's IAR news agency as saying that the robots are proof that domestic companies are capable of producing modern equipment.
He added that such devices are needed both on the battlefield and in times of peace, for instance to remove unexploded World War II bombs.
The robots, worth a combined PLN 80 million (EUR 18.6 million), will be delivered to the Polish armed forces from next year.
