Investigators said that a woman from northern Poland went to her local dentist surgery on March 16 with a sore tooth, where she was treated by the 64-year-old, who has been identified only as Mariusz B.
The man treated two of the woman's teeth “and tried, after giving [her] anaesthetic, to extract another tooth,” said Ewa Bialik, a spokeswoman for Poland's National Prosecutor's Office.
Bialik added that the woman left after paying PLN 200 (EUR 46; USD 54), but went to see another dentist later that day “where she received professional help, and where the root of a tooth left behind by Mariusz B. was removed”.
Mariusz B. did not deny the claims. (vb)
