Pollster CBOS said trust in the president has dropped by two percentage points compared with a similar survey carried out a month ago.

At the same time, 21 percent of respondents were critical of Duda’s performance as head of state. Ten percent said they had no opinion, the pollster said.

Poland’s second-most trusted politician is Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who has the confidence of 57 percent of those surveyed, CBOS found.

Meanwhile, opposition leader Grzegorz Schetyna and the head of Poland’s ruling conservatives, Jarosław Kaczyński, remain the most distrusted politicians in the country, according to the survey.

Forty-five percent of respondents said they had no confidence in Schetyna, whose Civic Platform (PO) party lost parliamentary elections in late 2015. Twenty-three percent said they trusted him.

Kaczyński is trusted by 42 percent, and distrusted by 41 percent.

The survey was carried out on August 16-23 on a sample of 1,066 adult Poles.
