A report entitled Cybersecurity of Polish Companies 2018, drawn up by the VECTO IT company, found that 85 percent of respondents said securing corporate data was important.

But the report said only 33.6 percent of respondents believed their companies had an adequate level of security.

The study found that 54.5 percent of Polish companies had experienced a cyber attack.

The report said that the careless use of smartphones and tablets was an increasing problem. It noted that 72 percent of all IT threats detected in 2017 related to mobile devices.

It said that every 10 seconds there appears a new variety of malicious software designed to attack the Android operating system popular in mobile phones, increasing the risk of infection by 50 percent compared to last year.
