Interior Minister Mariusz Błaszczak said he would talk about the attacks with Poland's police chief.

MP Łukasz Schreiber’s and MEP Kosma Złotowski’s Nakło nad Notecią office doors were damaged and MP Paweł Lisiecki’s and MEP Zdzisław Krasnodębski’s locks were glued shut “with an unknown substance”, according to Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.

“There are unfortunately many such incidents targetted at government politicians,” Błaszczak said, adding that the police would investigate.

He also said that the police “quickly detained” suspected arsonists who allegedly attacked MP Beata Kempa’s office last month “which is proof that the police are effective”.

Kempa’s office, which is located on the ground floor of a residential building in her hometown of Syców, southwestern Poland, was vandalized and its doors doused with a flammable liquid and set alight in mid-December.

A man identified only as Sebastian K. was arrested for three months and faces terrorism-related charges and up to 15 years in jail. (vb)
