Support for Law and Justice, which swept to power in late 2015, climbed 5 percentage points from a similar survey in July.

Meanwhile, backing for the opposition Civic Platform (PO) party fell 1 percentage point to 20 percent, the survey found.

The Nowoczesna (Modern) party is third on 8 percent, and the anti-establishment Kukiz’15 group is fourth on 7 percent, the poll, commissioned by public broadcaster TVP, found.

The Democratic Left Alliance (SLD), which is outside parliament, is fifth, backed by 5 percent.

Nowoczesna saw its support decrease by 2 percentage points from July, and Kukiz’15 lost 4 points, the pollster said. The SLD, meanwhile, gained 1 point, according to Kantar Public.

PiS polling at 45%, PO at 23% if undecided out of equation

Excluding undecided voters, who account for 11 percent of those polled, support for PiS runs at a record 45 percent, according to TVP’s Wiadomości news programme, with the PO second on 23 percent, Nowoczesna third on 9 percent, Kukiz’15 fourth on 8 percent, and the SLD fifth on 5 percent.

The poll found no other parties would make it into the Sejm, the lower house of parliament.

Kantar Public conducted the survey on November 3-5 on a sample of 1,000 adult respondents.
