The meeting is to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Józef Piłsudski (1867-1935), a Polish statesman, military leader, co-creator of Polish independence and the country's head of state from 1918-1922.
Piłsudski's birthday anniversary will also inaugurate celebrations marking Poland's centenary of independence.
Poland regained independence on 11 November 1918 after 123 years of partition by Russia, Austria and Prussia. (vb/pk)
