The mountains were particularly popular with visitors in August, when over 860,000 descended on the Tatra National Park. The figure for July was almost 780,000.
Last year as a whole, more than 3.5 million visitors came to the southern mountain range, setting a record.
In 2015, 3.2 million visited the Tatra National Park. Ten years ago, the figure was over 2 million.
Earlier this year, park director Szymon Ziobrowski said the record tourist traffic had not had a negative impact on wildlife.
