Polish luxury goods market expanding: report

Poland’s luxury goods market is estimated to have grown 15% year-on-year in 2016, according to a report by professional services company KPMG released on Wednesday.

The market is now estimated to be worth PLN 16.4 billion (EUR 3.69 billion) and according to the report will grow to almost PLN 21 billion (EUR 4.73 billion) in 2020.
The number of “high-net-worth” individuals in Poland whose investible assets, such as stocks and bonds, exceed USD 1 million is estimated at 41,100.
Over half of the luxury goods market is comprised of the premium and luxury cars segment, which is expected to expand by almost 10% annually over the next few years.
