Avalanche alert in Poland’s Tatra mountains
PR dla Zagranicy
Rescuers have warned hikers and skiers to be cautious after a third-degree avalanche alert was announced in Poland’s popular southern Tatra mountains.
A third-degree alert means that avalanches can easily be triggered, mainly on steep slopes.
Snowdrifts and strong winds, accompanied by temperatures well below freezing, have made moving around in the Tatras difficult.
