Fewer road accidents during All Saints long weekend

The All Saints Day long weekend in Poland has seen fewer accidents and fewer deaths than last year.

During the long weekend there were 428 accidents, with 39 people killed and 531 injured.
Compared to the same period in 2015, this time there were fewer accidents and victims, despite the fact that this year, the long weekend was one day longer.
One in 11 accidents ended with the death of the driver or passenger, compared to one in eight last year.
Also, fewer drink drivers were arrested - last year, police detained 1,337 drink drivers, compared to 1,197 this year. (mol/pk)
