Several marches around Poland mark the 1 May Worker's Day celebrations.

The marches were organised by the OPZZ and ZNP workers' unions, and the Democratic Left Alliance party.
The demonstrators in Warsaw carried placards proclaiming the dignity of work, equal treatment and the defense of workers' rights.
A large screen in Warsaw read: “The constitution is our right”.
Constitution Day, 3 May, is a public holiday in Poland, and commemorates the Polish Constitution, the oldest such document in Europe.
Worker's Day, 1 May, has been a public holiday in Poland since 1950. (rg)
