Wrocław worst in Polish traffic jam ranking

                    The Lower Silesian city of Wrocław has been ranked as the worst in Poland for traffic jams for the second year in a row in a report commissioned by Deloitte.

                         According to the report, which analysed Poland's seven biggest cities, the average driver in Wrocław spent 8 hours and 52 minutes per month stuck in traffic jams in 2015.
Kraków in southern Poland  was placed second in terms of congestion problems, with the average driver spending 8 hours and 36 minutes per month in a jam.
Third in the ranking was Warsaw, with drivers clocking up an average of 8 hours and 12 minutes per month. Just behind was Poznań, with 8 hours and 9 minutes.
At the other end of the spectrum, Silesian capital Katowice emerged as the least conjested. The average driver there spent 4 hours and 57 minutes a month stuck behind the wheel.
Second best was Gdańsk (5 hours), and Łódź was third (6 hours).
Overall, the survey estimated that drivers in the seven cities wasted a total sum of PLN 3.8 billion (EUR 877.8 million) on petrol last year as a result of being stuck in jams. (nh/pk)
