Polish police have arrested a total of 38 people on suspicion of owning and distributing child pornography.
So far three people have been formally charged, with another seven admitting to possessing child pornography.
Police spokesman Andrzej Browarek told the PAP news agency that officers confiscated dozens of computers, laptops, hard drives, memory cards, around 1,800 CDs, DVDs and other media which may contain evidence related to the ongoing investigation.
"The operation was carried out in 12 regions around the country, and was possible thanks to international cooperation between Polish and German police,” Browarek said.
If found guilty, the suspects could face up to five years behind bars, Browarek said. (rg/pk)
