Hair-cutting prowler targets Polish women on trams

Police are trying to track down a man who has been surreptitiously cutting women's hair on trams in Łódż, central Poland.

Most victims have claimed that they were unaware that anything had occurred until they had got off the tram.
It appears that the man, who has been nicknamed 'the Barber', has chiefly been targeting long-haired female students and other young women.
The suspect is apparently about 25-years-old, and always immaculately dressed.
One victim has written a warning on a Facebook page connected with the tram service.
“I would never have thought that something like that could happen on a tram,” she wrote, encouraging other women to be on their guard. (nh/rk)
