Zuzanna M. (full name withheld under Polish privacy laws), who is also a published poet, was arrested with boyfriend Kamil N. in Kraków, southern Poland, in mid-December last year.

The pair stabbed Kamil N.'s parents to death while the latter slept at their home in Rakowiska, near Lublin, mid- east Poland.

Kamil N.'s parents had objected to their son's relationship with the girl.

The young couple apparently concocted the murder plan after watching violent movies.

After carrying out the crime, the couple fled to Kraków, where Zuzanna M. had set up a poetry reading as an alibi.

The murder shocked Poland, with one of the investigators telling the Gazeta Wyborcza daily that the blood-stained scene of the crime was the worst he had seen in thirty years. (nh/rk)
