In an announcement made in Parliament on Thursday, Błaszczak said that a cross-ministerial team for terrorist threats would be established to meet that end.
The steps are taken upon a motion forwarded by the Law and Justice (PiS) parliamentary club, which has a majority in the Sejm lower house of parliament.
During the announcement, Błaszczak underlined that Poland's security was a priority for the Polish government.
"All the services linked to Poland's antiterrorist system are implementing tasks related to countering terrorist threats in the country, which includes detecting such threats and sharing intelligence," Błaszczak said.
He assured that the country has registered no increased terrorist threat following the recent attacks in Paris. (aba/rg/rk)
