Rail company SKM has pledged that there will be 'consequences' if a driver is found to be at fault, after a train started to leave the platform with a pram jammed in its doors.

The incident occurred on a train bound for Sopot from Gdańsk.

Passenger Szymon Szatkowski has stated that he had to snatch his three-month-old daughter out of the pram as the train moved off, leaving him and rest of the family on the platform.

According to Szatkowski, the train ultimately stopped after other passengers shouted at the driver to stop.

Various items fell out of the pram onto the tracks during the commotion.

“If it transpires that that the fault lies with our employee, we shall take the appropriate consequences,” commented Marcin Głuszek, director of marketing and sales at SKM. (nh)
