The vintage vehicle recalls the fate of over 400,000 Jews who were moved by the Germans to a specially created ghetto in Warsaw during World War II.
About 300,000 of the Jews resettled there died during the Second World War, principally in death camps, but also during the liquidation of the ghetto and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943.
The anniversary of the Red Army's liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau (27 January) has also marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day since 2005.
Representatives of the Shalom Foundation are appealing to Warsaw residents to put candles on their windowsills at 6pm local time on Tuesday in memory of victims of the Shoah. (nh)
