Around 45 percent of students aged between 16 and 17 have witnessed abuse on the world wide web.

Daily Rzeczpospolita quotes a new study which says that more and more youths come in contact with offensive quotes on discussion panels and internet fora.

The daily goes on to say that youths who are exposed to hateful language have a greater likelihood of becoming depressed and abuse medicine.

“They are more likely to be hurt by comments on their appearance, creative output as well as comments on their position in a social group,” one psychologist said. (rg)
