46 die on roads over long Corpus Christi weekend

Despite continued road safety campaigns, more people died during the long Corpus Christi weekend holiday in 2014 than during the same period last year.

From Wednesday evening to Sunday night, 46 people died on Poland's roads with 577 people injured, Police HQ in Warsaw has informed.
Police also charged 1800 drivers with drink driving offences.
“The main causes of accidents are speeding, improper overtaking and driving under the influence of alcohol,” spokesman for the Chief of Police Insp. Mariusz Sokolowski has said.
