Seven survive helicopter crash, northern Poland

Five people, including two children, were taken to hospital after the MI-2 helicopter they were flying in plunged to the ground outside the village of Czysta, north west Poland.

Grzegorz Falkowski, spokesman for the Fire Brigade in nearby Slupsk in the Pomeranian province said the accident occurred before 16.00 CET on Thursday and six units of fire fighters were sent to the scene.

Two of those on board were treated for injuries on the spot and five were taken to hospital.

The reason why the small, privately hired helicopter crashed is yet unknown. (pg)
