Radek Sikorski Poland's most retweeted minister

A new report on how the government, the state and political activists use social media has found that Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski is the government's most retweeted politician.
The “State in Social Media” report, which monitors over 370 social media accounts found that Minister Sikorski - who regularly uses Twitter to make announcements and even have arguments with political opponents - was the “Most often followed government figures” and “Most often retweeted government figures” in 2013.
The report by the ePaństwo Foundation says that tweets from Prime Minister Donald Tusk's office, the Defence Ministry and Foreign Ministry spokesman Marcin Wojciechowski were also prominent on Twitter last year.
Twitter is used widely by Polish politicians and state institutions though the overall numbers using the microblogger have been estimated at a low 300,000 in Poland. (pg)
