Last week, President Komorowski vetoed an amendment to a seed bill which environmentalists have said would be a backdoor entry for GMOs in the country.
Poland’s Agricultural Minister, Marek Sawicki, was for the bill when it was passed through both houses of parliament, and criticised the President for vetoing the bill. But a day later the very same minister voiced that he is for a ban on GMOs in the whole of the EU.
