Belarus’ spiraling economic woes have been going on for weeks now, as a collapse of the Belarusian rouble, devalued by 55 percent along with futile efforts at recovering the stagnating economy from the global financial crisis, have recently sparked nationwide panic buying and mass savings withdrawals from banks in the country.
