Poland calls for peacekeeping mission in Ukraine

Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has renewed Poland’s call for a peacekeeping mission to be deployed to eastern Ukraine.

He also urged the UN Secretary-General to appoint a special envoy for the country.
“Civilians pay the highest price for this conflict … [they] should be protected in accordance with international humanitarian law and human rights,” Czaputowicz said.
