Senate passes law to penalise people for accusing Poland of WWII crimes
Polish senators have approved a proposed law that could mean a jail term for anyone who accuses the nation of being complicit in Nazi German crimes during World War II.

The move comes amid a warning by the US that the legislation could damage relations with both America and Israel.
“Tackling and discussing history, even the darkest and most infamous aspects, is by no means at risk [in Poland],” deputy Justice Minister Marcin Warchoł said.
