Warsaw conference of 16+1

Sławek Szefs reports that the declarations were made during the meeting of the 16+1 Group, 16 countries from Central and Eastern Europe and China, in Warsaw.

The investments would support the development of seaports, inland waterways, road, rail as well as airport infrastructure.

"Given conducive legal regulations as well as proper business structure in the field of investments, various solutions may be adopted,” maritime economy minister Marek Gróbarczyk told Polish Radio.

He added, however, that it would be premature at present to state whether foreign capital participation in excess of 50 percent will be allowed in these projects.
