Sławek Szefs reports the participants of this international event organized by Polish Radio have also come to the conclusion that what is most needed at present is a coherent strategy for public broadcasters to push forward with the digitalization process.
Head of Radio at the European Broadcasting Union, Graham Dixon, stressed his organization had no intention of exerting pressure on national broadcasters with regard to a timetable for introducing digital radio to its audiences. Still, a general direction should be pursued, he argued.
“The more European alignment we can have the better because that makes the argument and it’s easy with manufacturers, car producers, retailers if the whole continent is moving in the same position,” the EBU official observed.
