Poland joined the space race 30 years later than most countries and as a result has lagged behind. However in 2014, the Polish Sejm, the lower house of parliament, adopted a law on setting up a Polish Space Agency. The institution is called POLSA and aims to support the Polish space industry by helping eliminate barriers between business and science, and helping entrepreneurs get funds from the European Space Agency.

Creotech Instruments SA the biggest Polish player in the space industry was created in 2008 by three scientists. For the past couple of years, the company has boasted Poland’s first cleanroom which mocks cosmic reality and will host Poland’s first infrastructure collecting data transmitted by the European Space Agency.

Radio Poland's Kamila Kudelska spoke with Grzegorz Brona, the President of Creotech Instruments SA, about the achievements of the company and what he hopes to achieve in the future.
