In an exclusive interview for Radio Poland’s English Service, Rafał Trzaskowski, an MP for the opposition Civic Platform party and a former European affairs minister, says that Poland is now a problem for the European Union.

Commenting on the European Commission’s decision to launch a formal assessment of whether some of the Polish government’s decisions – relating to the judiciary system and the media – violate the rule of law, he says: “It’s a dialogue phase. Our European partners are asking questions. The responsibility is that of the government.”
