As Agnieszka Łaszczuk reports, while same-sex marriage is constitutionally banned in Poland, there is also growing support for legal recognition of same-sex couples.

Among the demands of the marchers were equal rights for LGBT people and improved sex education, but also better treatment of foreigners and ethnic minorities.

We asked some of the parade’s participants why they decided to march through the streets of Warsaw.

“It is important to let people know that we are alive, we are in Poland, and there is a lot of us who support gay and lesbian marriages (…) now Polish people know that there is gay, there is lesbian, there is bisexual, and they are not devil,” said a participant of the march.
