Justice Ministry targets legal exclusion among youth.

As legal awareness remains low in Poland, workshops geared towards curbing legal exclusion are up and running at schools across the country, carried out by the Ministry of Justice.

The crash course in Polish law for teenagers walks students through the meanders of the justice system in Poland and offers them guidance on ways of exercising their rights in society.

The scheme is also set to help prevent juvenile delinquency. “According to our studies among the group of people aged from 12 to 18 [there is a high incidence] of minor offences in their home life, in schools, in public transport,” says Radosław Sienkiewicz, from the ministerial Department of International Cooperation and Human Rights. "That’s why we would like to give them information on how to avoid this.”
