As Eliza Mickiewicz reports, the Pontiff has invited some two hundred people to the supper, including the Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, and the menu includes cod with pureed cauliflower, carp with almond flakes and cranberry sauce, three kinds of herrings and sea trout tartare.
All the dishes are made with Polish products brought specially to Rome, and with the fish also went a traditional Silesian bake with poppy seed and cheese filling - the kołocz.
