With Parliamentary Speaker Ewa Kopacz formally taking up the post of prime minister on Monday, will she shake up the government and propose an entirely new cabinet?

Parliamentary Speaker Ewa Kopacz will officially become Poland’s next prime minister on Monday and will have a week to create a new cabinet before President Komorowski takes off for New York to take part in a UN summit.

With a government shake-up on the cards, there is much speculation as to the make-up of the next cabinet, as John Beauchamp reports.

One of the biggest changes which may come about is the future role of current foreign minister Radosław Sikorski. Rumours abound that he may take up Kopacz’s current position as parliamentary speaker.

One name which has cropped up for the post of Poland’s head of diplomacy is former finance minister Jacek Rostowski.

We speak to Andy Kureth from Poland Today, as well as Remi Adekoya, a contributor to the UK’s Guardian daily, about the possible changes.
