Every year some 30 thousand old horses from Poland are sold and exported for slaughter, mainly to Italy.

The animals are subjected to extremely cruel treatment during transport and many horses sustain injuries and even die before reaching their ultimate destination. Fortunately, a number of organizations as well as individual persons are joining forces and funds to buy them out of the deadly oppression.
We shall also examine the growing legion of Polish millionaires and see how Poles rank in the amount of sweets consumed 'per capita'.
