Symphony No.4 (Tansman Episodes) will be performed on 12 April 2014 by the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall.

Listen to a report by Michal Kubicki setting the scene for the event, with comments from the conductor Andrey Boreyko and Polish musicologist Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska.

She says that all those who are expecting a work similar to the composer’s hugely successful Third Symphony of two decades ago are in for a disappointment.
