The young Lebanese conductor, who has already made a name for himself introducing contemporary opera to Polish stages, is speaking to Elżbieta Krajewska about his move from Wrocław to the National Opera in Warsaw. After debuting on the big stage in Verdi's Nabucco he leads - alongside the great Valery Gergiev - the National Opera's premiere production of Tchaikovsky's Iolanta and Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle.
