Possibilities for an internal EU energy market
Former President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek has argued that an internal EU energy market will “improve the competitiveness of the EU economy”.

In this interview by Euranet’s Laeticia Markakis and Jean-Michel Bos, MEP Jerzy Buzek argues that the venture would also mean “more money in our pockets.”
For some time now, Europe has lacked a common policy in the energy field, leading some MEPs to start outlining a road towards an EU internal energy community.
Buzek believes that an EU internal energy market will give people the freedom to make full use of domestic energy sources – including coal and shale gas.
