On 1 May, guitarists from all over the country and visitors from abroad will meet in Poland's southwestern city of Wroclaw at the 11th annual 'Thanks Jimi Festival.' As the event grows year by year since its launch in 2003, the festival could yet again break the Guinness World Record for the most guitar players in one place playing the same song. The number to beat is 7,273, the total number of last year's guitar heroes.

One of the biggest perks of the event this year is getting to play alongside guitar maestros like Bruce Kulick from Kiss and John Corabi from Mötley Crüe.

"All generations of guitar players decide to meet and play together just to have fun; that is our goal," says organiser of the 'Thanks Jimi Festival' and Polish bluesman Leszek Cichoński.

Elżbieta Krajewska interviews Cichoński, who also teaches listeners the legendary Jimi Hendrix's song Hey Joe.
