A renowned Polish-American political scientist and statesman celebrated his 85th birthday this week.

Zbigniew Brzezinski, a former US national security advisor to President Jimmy Carter, a political advisor to President George Bush and a professor of political science is turned 85 on Thursday, 28 March 2013.

Danuta Isler takes a clsoer look now at the man regarded a renowned expert on the history of the Soviet Union, as well as a co-author of the totalitarian theory.
