Dreamliners to remain grounded

Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner remains grounded as planemaker continues its investigation on the cause of battery-related misshaps.

“Best case scenario would be that it would take less than 2 months to develop the new product. But what is really required is demonstrating not that you can build something that’s really excellent, but that you can manufacture reproducibly and that each airplane has the confidence to know that everyone of them is going to be safe," said the leading experts in the field of rechargeable batteries and chemistry professor at MIT, Donald Sadoway.

Here in Poland, LOT, the country's national carrier is feeling the losses. The airline purchased eight Dreamliner 787s in total, hoping to increase profitability.
