The Polish economy has lost USD 500 million because of the EU trade embargo with Russia, Economy Minister Janusz Piechociński has said.
Russian sanctions have so far included meat, fruit and vegetables and dairy products.
As Michał Owczarek reports, all seems to indicate, however, that this might not be the end. Now fish sanctions are in the news.
"I’m convinced that the actions taken would probably not been welcome in any society and all the more so by ordinary Russians, as, according to official statistics 20 million of them live below the poverty line", said Łukasz Wenerski, of the Institute of Public Affairs in Warsaw.
